Whisk butter eggs corn syrup sugar vanilla and brandy in a large bowl. Spread quartered pecans over bottom of refrigerated pie crust. The subtle sweetness of the karo corn syrup is what really sets this recipe apart from the rest.
Pour mixture into an unbaked 9 pie shell. Pour syrup mixture over top of pecans then arrange pecan halves on top of pie. Place pecan halves on top.
Preheat oven to 350. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat whisking constantly. Place a sheet of wax paper directly on surface of mixture to prevent a film from forming and chill 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees f. Mix the sugar and flour together and gradually add to the eggs using low speed. Boil 1 minute or until thickened.
