Recipe Sweet Potato Chips
Step 5 bake 13 14 minutes until edges are brown.
Recipe sweet potato chips. In a medium bowl toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil until fully coated. Add the seasonings and toss to coat. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into long thin chips about 1cm wide then place in a large bowl and add the flour nutritional yeast paprika olive.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Transfer to a shallow roasting tin and season with black pepper and nutmeg if you like. Place the tray into the oven and cook for 30 40 minutes shaking the tray at 10 minute intervals.
Drain on paper towels. Spread the chips flat onto a baking tray. Preheat the oven to 240c 220c fan gas mark 8.
Cut the sweet potato into inch to inch 3 to 6 mm slices. Toss well to coat then roast. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into chips and cover with the cumin salt pepper and oil in a bowl.
Preheat the oven to 400 f 200 c. Fry potatoes seven or eight slices at a time 1 2 minutes or until golden brown on both sides turning once. Soak potatoes in 2 qt.
Preheat the oven to 180 c gas mark 4. Remove chips with crispy brown edges and continue baking other chips checking constantly and removing as edges brown. Heat oven to 200c fan 180c gas 6.
