Recipe Sweet Potato Veggie Burger
Heat the skillet to medium high.
Recipe sweet potato veggie burger. Add the beans and mash again. Slice the sweet potatoes down the center lengthwise. Form the mixture into 4 patties put on a plate and place them in the freezer for 20 30 minutes to firm up.
Place the cannellini beans into a bowl and mash them with a fork or potato masher until almost completely smooth. Place the steamed sweet potatoes in a big mixing bowl and mash with a fork or a potato masher. Reduce oven heat to 375 degrees f 190 c.
Add the cajun spice mixed herbs and garlic powder and mix well. Preheat oven to 400 degrees f 204 c and cut sweet potatoes in half. Steam the sweet potatoes for about 15 to 20 minutes or until are soft.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until well combined. Add enough oil to a cast iron skillet to cover the bottom. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Carefully place burger patties on hot skillet and allow them to cook until a nice crisp forms and the sides begin to turn color about 3 to 4 minutes. Season well to your tastes. Form 3 to 4 veggie burger patties out of the sweet potato mixture.
Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up. Shape into 4 burgers dusting your hands with a little flour to help. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit.
