Red Beans And Rice Kielbasa Recipe
Heat vegetable oil in a large stockpot or dutch oven over medium heat.
Red beans and rice kielbasa recipe. Drain and rinse beans discarding liquid. Add onion celery and garlic. Stir in vinegar and sugar for last few minutes.
Cover and let stand for 1 4 hours or until beans are softened. Cook until onion is tender. Working in batches add sausage and cook stirring frequently until sausage is lightly browned about 3 4 minutes.
Cover with water by several inches. Remove from the heat. Cover and cook on low medium heat for 25 minutes stirring occasionally.

Place beans in a large bowl or dutch oven. Saute until onions are translucent then add sausage back to pot. Boil for 2 minutes.
Add the chicken broth beans italian seasoning garlic powder and parsley. In the same pan saute the kielbasa celery onion and green pepper in oil until vegetables are crisp tender. Add chicken broth and enough water to cover by 2 inches.
