Rice Pudding Recipe Risotto
3 1 2 to 4 cups milk i used 2 milk 1 4 cup brown sugar.
Rice pudding recipe risotto. Pour 1 2 cup of rice mixture into the bowl of egg and sugar and stir vigorously immediately to temper the egg. Bring water salt and butter to a boil in a medium saucepan. I have served warm rice pudding at my b b for years and it is so similar to this.
Add the rice turn the heat down and stir until the rice is covered in the browned butter. I use 1 3 c arborio rice with 4 cups skim milk 1 4 tsp. Combine the rice milk sugar vanilla bean cinnamon and salt in a large heavy bottomed saucepan over medium high heat and stir to combine.
Put all ingredient s into the pan except the sugar and cinnamon if using. This prevents it from scrambling when added to the rice mixture. Gently cook the rice for about 15 20 minutes stirring all the time until it softens and absorbs the creamy liquid.
2 tablespoon unsalted butter. When about an inch of milk remains on the top i stir in 1 4 c. Pour in the cream almond milk and dark muscovado sugar.
Once the ingredients are in the pan on an extremely low heat cook for averagely 40 minutes stirring every 10 minutes to prevent burning. Add the rice return to a boil and then reduce the heat to the lowest setting. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer stirring every 5 minutes as the mixture starts to thicken for about 30 minutes.
1 4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Stirring helps release the starches from the rice which thickens the cream. Put it all in the top of a dbl boiler and simmer for 1 1 2 hr.
