Boneless Pork Leg Roast Recipe
Place the pork in the oven and leave for 15 mins then turn the heat down to 180c 160c fan gas 4 and continue to roast for 1hr 30 mins.
Boneless pork leg roast recipe. Allow the pork roast to sit at room temperature while the oven is warming about 30 minutes. If after this time you don t have brilliant crackling turn the heat up again and check every 5 mins until the skin has crackled. Sprinkle the top of the roast with sage rosemary garlic and salt and pepper.
Sprinkle with the salt and rub it into the skin. Sit the pork on the vegetables and rub the skin with the oil. When you re ready to cook preheat the oven to 240 c.
Immediately before cooking dry the pork rind thoroughly with kitchen paper then brush or rub with the oil. Secure with kitchen string. Rub with oil and season with salt then arrange on a wire rack over a roasting pan.
Heat the oven to 425 degrees f. Place the pork leg roast onto a wire rack in the sink and pour a jug of boiling water over the rind. Unwrap the pork cover loosely with kitchen paper or foil and leave in the fridge for at least 4 hours or for up to 24 hours.
Rub oil and salt into the scored rind area massaging well. Insert a meat thermometer probe into the middle of the roast and place the pork in the hot oven. Place pork in roasting pan.
The meat should be at room temperature for best results. Trim 2cm from the ends of the skin then roll up again. Preheat the oven to 220Âșc gas mark 7.
