Oven Roasted Brussel Sprouts With Bacon And Maple Syrup
Season with salt and black pepper.
Oven roasted brussel sprouts with bacon and maple syrup. Roast stirring midway through with rubber spatula to promote even browning until brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized about 20 minutes. Drizzle over the brussels sprouts add cooked crumbled bacon and toss to coat. Drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup then toss to coat.
I scissor trimmed the bacon into 1 2 inch pieces. Roast the brussels sprouts for 12 minutes then remove from the oven and toss them around so that the other side gets crispy. Add oil syrup and seasoning.
Sprinkle pieces of bacon evenly over the sprouts. Place them back in the oven and roast another 10 12 minute or until they are browned and crisp. Toss to coat then spread the brussels sprouts into an even layer scattering the bacon somewhat evenly.
Meanwhile chop the bacon into small pieces. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 400 degrees f until the sprouts and the bacon are crisp. Step 2 place brussels sprouts in a single layer in a baking dish.
Add balsamic vinegar and maple syrup and toss to coat evenly. Put the brussels and bacon on a foil lined cookie sheet. Slice the bacon strips and lay them on top of the brussels sprouts.
Taste and adjust seasoning. Preheat oven to 400 degrees f 200 degrees c. Place brussels sprouts in a single layer in a baking dish.
