Recipe Pecan Sweet Potato Casserole
Transfer to a greased 13x9 in.
Recipe pecan sweet potato casserole. Spoon the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Once sweet potatoes are cool add eggs brown sugar vanilla extract and 1 4 cup of unsalted butter. Transfer the beaten egg and butter to the bowl with the mashed sweet potatoes.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Add 1 2 tsp of cinnamon to the topping mixture if you try it this way you will never make another sweet potato casserole dish. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer until tender about 20 minutes.
In a large bowl mash sweet potatoes. Sprinkle over sweet potatoes. Mash potatoes with white sugar milk eggs salt vanilla extract and cinnamon.
Mix well using a spatula or electric mixer to combine. Bring sweet potato filling to a 9 x 13 casserole dish then evenly top with pecan topping. Sprinkle over sweet potato mixture.
In a small bowl combine the brown sugar flour and pecans. In a bowl combine the brown sugar flour 2 tablespoons softened butter and the chopped pecans. Cover and cook for 20 25 minutes or until tender.
Spread mixture in prepared baking dish. Use 1 tsp of vanilla. Double all of the ingredients for the pecan topping and give the pecans a rough chop so there aren t any big pieces.
