Recipe Sweet Potato Gratin
In a bowl beat egg.
Recipe sweet potato gratin. Add the breadcrumbs and gingersnap crumbs and cook stirring until lightly toasted 3 to 5 minutes. Pour cream mixture on top. Toss together potatoes 3 4 cup heavy cream and salt in a large bowl.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees f. Gratin dish and spread potatoes into layers. Peel and slice yams 1 8 thick easily done in a food processer.
Sprinkle with salt pepper brown sugar and cinnamon. Place potatoes in a greased 8 in. Bake uncovered at 375 until the potatoes are tender 40 45 minutes.
Combine cream butter and garlic in a saucepan. Cover with 1 2 of the gruyere cheese. Bring to a simmer.
Preheat oven to 400. Top with 1 cup gruyère cheese. Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
Transfer to a lightly greased 2 qt. Add cream salt nutmeg and pepper. Cut sweet potatoes and russet potatoes into 1 8 inch thick slices using a mandoline or sharp knife.
