Royal Icing Recipe Lemon Juice

Royal icing recipe lemon juice. 4 cups royal icing powder. Remember to ice cookies with a satin smooth finish you need to add water to thick icing to make it more fluid. Serving size 2 tablespoons.
Bake cookies at 325 degrees for 12 15 minutes. This recipe make 6 6 1 2 cups. Beat the icing until it is very stiff and white and stands up in peaks.
Add the lemon juice and continue whipping until completely incorporated about 3 minutes. Add the icing sugar to the egg whites a spoonful at a time and fold in. Combine ingredients in mixing bowl and mix on low speed scraping sides of bowl as necessary until icing is smooth and glossy about 5 min.

Make icing while your cookies cool. Recipe for fresh lemon royal icing. The royal icing should be light fluffy and slightly stiff.
Thin icing by adding more lemon juice or water 1 tbsp at a time to create desired consistency. 4 cups powdered sugar approximately 3 tablespoons meringue powder. It will ice approximately 6 dozen cookies about 3 inch in size.
