Recipe Pork Picnic Roast
Add carrots potatoes onion and celery to slow cooker.
Recipe pork picnic roast. Rub garlic clove paste throughout roast. Spread garlic over pork. If using a slow cooker cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours or low for 8 to 10 hours.
6 8 green onions chopped. Allow the pork roast to sit at room temperature while the oven is warming about 30 minutes. Season pork roast all over with salt and black pepper and place in a slow cooker.
Turn the oven down to 350 and continue to cook for 3 hours or until the internal temperature is at least 145 degrees. Or carefully lift the roast out add the vegetables to the pan then return the roast to the pan. This could be a challenge if the pork is beginning to fall apart.
1 teaspoon basil dried. 1 2 cup brown sugar. 1 3 cup worcestershire sauce.
Preheat oven to 250 and rub salt and spices over the entire pork shoulder. Wash and dry the pork then leave it out to come to room temperature for a few hours. Because picnic shoulder comes from the thinner area it is a bit better for cooking whole and slicing while pork butt is perfect for making pulled pork and other recipes in which the meat is meant to fall apart.
Bake for 8 10 hours more or less depending on size or until internal temperature is about 190f. Pour broth over roast and vegetables. Place into the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
