Recipe Rice Krispie Treats Peanut Butter Chocolate Butterscotch
Start with our very best rice crispy treat recipe and add melted butterscotch chips and creamy peanut butter to make these delicious peanut butter butterscotch rice krispie treats.
Recipe rice krispie treats peanut butter chocolate butterscotch. Pour the entire bowl of mixture into a large 9x11 pan smaller if you wish to have thicker treats and cover with wax paper. Place corn syrup and sugar into 3 quart saucepan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in microwave start with 1 2 minutes then stirring intermittently 30 second intervals until melted.
In a small sauce pan combine the sugar and honey and heat over medium heat stirring occasionally. In a small saucepan over low heat combine chocolate chips butterscotch chips and peanut butter. Use a large spoon and slowly fold the melted mixture into the rice krispies until all are coated.
Refrigerate until chocolate butterscotch mixture hardens very quick about 30 minutes. These treats are gooey and marshmallowy just like our best rice krispie treats but i ramped up the flavor by mixing in melted peanut butter and butterscotch chips. If topping with peanuts you can sprinkle them on right away.
Measure the rice kripies into a large mixing bowl. Measure peanut butter and add on top of kripies. Cook over medium heat stirring frequently until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil.
Melt together until creamy. Mix peanut butter and butterscotch. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Cook stirring frequently until completely melted and smooth. In a large microwave safe bowl melt the butterscotch chips and peanut butter in 30 second intervals mixing until smooth. Spread melted chips over rice krispie mixture.
