Slow Cooker Sweet And Sour Meatballs Recipe
Place meatballs on a greased rack in a 15x10x1 in.
Slow cooker sweet and sour meatballs recipe. Pour over meatballs in slow cooker. In a fry pan over medium heat brown the meatballs and then put to the side. Bake until lightly browned 15 20 minutes.
When the meatballs are finished cooking and the peppers have softened serve the sweet and sour meatballs over rice with a garnish of sliced green onions. Cook on low for 6 8 hours. Place meatballs into the slow cooker.
Cook on medium for 2 hours stirring every 30 minutes. Add brown sugar cornstarch vinegar soy sauce garlic and salt and pepper to taste to water pineapple juice mixture and whisk to combine. Place meatballs in a 1 1 2 qt.
Transfer to a 5 quart or large slow cooker. Cooking the sweet sour meatballs all you have left to do is place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 5 6 hours or on high for 3 4 hours. Cook and stir until thickened about 10 minutes.
Cover and cook on low for 4 5 hours or until sauce has thickened. Add drained pineapple and peppers to slow cooker. In the slow cooker combine the brown sugar ketchup ginger apple cider vinegar pineapple juice and soy sauce.
Cook covered on low until meatballs are cooked through 3 4 hours. In a small bowl combine the sugar cornstarch vinegar and soy sauce. Cover and turn on to the low setting while you make the meatballs.
