Recipe For Rice Pudding Pie
Preheat the oven to 450.
Recipe for rice pudding pie. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2 quart casserole dish. Not all rice pudding recipes call for an egg but i 100 recommend it it adds a richness that is so worth it.
In a saucepan pour the water lemon peel cinnamon stick a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Stir and cook about 10 minutes. Peel the cooled eggs finely chop and add to a medium bowl.
Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy 15 to 20 minutes. Sift flour and salt over bowl and whisk to combine. Add the cooked rice and milk and stir until combined.
Cook rice in unsalted water until done according to the box directions. When starts boiling remove the cinnamon stick reserve the cinnamon stick reduce to low heat and pour the rice. Add the butter and sugar and stir well to incorporate.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Nothing fancy is needed to make this classic dessert. Blend 3 4 cup of powdered sugar eggs vanilla orange zest and ricotta in a food processor until smooth.
Set the ricotta mixture aside. In a large bowl beat the eggs milk ricotta sugar cream and vanilla together until smooth. In a large mixing bowl whisk eggs together until foamy.
