Easy Pecan Pie Recipe
Just break through the caramelized crispy pecan topping to expose the amber colored rich filling and flaky crust inside.
Easy pecan pie recipe. Pour filling into frozen crust and bake on preheated cookie sheet. Allow to cool before slicing. Pour into frozen crust.
Mix gently with a spoon to coat nuts and evenly disperse. Preheat oven to 375. Pour into pie crust.
Serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired. Tap center surface of pie lightly it should spring back when done. Scatter pecan halves into pie crust and pour over sugar mixture.
Step 4 bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Traditional pecan pie in a jar has a deeply toasted sweet luxurious flavor. Beat together all filling ingredients except pecans.
If you are using a prepared frozen pie crust place cookie sheet in oven and preheat oven as directed. The pie is done when center reaches 200 f. 3 bake on preheated cookie sheet 35 to 45 minutes or until center is set.
Lightly place foil over top of pie and bake 30 minutes then remove foil.
