Naan Bread Recipe No Yeast Self Raising Flour
This recipe is adapted from bake it better bread by linda collister wonderful little book out of the entire series of books inspired by the great british bake off.
Naan bread recipe no yeast self raising flour. Ingredients you will need. 1 4 cup butter melted 1 teaspoon garlic salt optional topping. Plain yogurt use greek or any plain or dairy free yogurt.
Simply mix together 3 1 4 cups of self rising flour with 1 1 2 cups of non dairy milk. Transfer to a lightly floured work surface and knead until smooth adding more flour as necessary to keep dough from sticking 2 to 3 minutes. Fill and roll them like traditional wraps or freeze.
1 4 cup cilantro chopped optional topping. You can leave it out if using self raising flour. Mix everything together until it forms a ball.
Flour use plain flour all purpose or gluten free flour. Use self raising flour 1 tsp sugar can be omitted if you use self raising flour 1 tsp fresh yeast can be omitted if you use self raising flour 150 ml warm water 1 tbsp ghee note. 200g self rising flour 100ml water.
Mix the flour and water knead the dough for a few minutes and divide it into 4 or 6 balls. Cook as you would and enjoy. Chilli cheese naan fold through red pepper flakes to taste into the dough along with shredded cheese 1 4 cup.
Turn out on the counter and knead until very smooth and elastic at least 5 minutes adding more flour as necessary. The method is very similar to that of flatbreads. Use vegetable oil or butter if you prefer vegetarian 1 tsp salt 50 g unsalted butter 1 tsp poppy seeds method.
