Quiche lorraine leek recipe. Heat the oil or oil and butter over medium heat in a lidded skillet or saucepan and add the leeks and a pinch of salt. Place the onion in the pan and cook over a medium heat for 8 minutes or until golden. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat stirring often 7 to 8 minutes or until crispy.
Remove crust from oven and prick all over with a fork. Add to the quiche lorraine and top with the cheese. Drain on paper towels.
Bake for 25 30 minutes until golden and just set. Sprinkle bacon over bottom of pie shell. Whisk together the eggs then stir through the cheese milk leeks bacon and a good pinch of seasoning.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees f 220 degrees c. Press the pie crust into an 8 or 9 inch pie plate then bake for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the cheese into the pastry base and add the sliced tomatoes if you are using them.
Sprinkle with remaining onion leek mixture remaining bacon and remaining gruyere cheese. Sprinkle half of swiss cheese over onions. Crumble the bacon and sprinkle the bacon onion and cheeses over the inside of the partly baked pastry.
Fry the bacon pieces until crisp and sprinkle. Return to oven for 5 more minutes. Sprinkle green onions over bacon.
