Chocolate Peanut Brittle Recipe Microwave
Stir peanuts and butter into sugar mixture.
Chocolate peanut brittle recipe microwave. Stir in peanuts and microwave on high 3 1 2 minutes more then stir in butter and vanilla and microwave for 1 1 2 minutes. Heat in microwave until mixture becomes a caramel color 3 to 4 minutes. Once cool melt the chocolate and pour it over the top of the brittle.
Vickie says the original recipe came with the instruction book on her sharp carousel microwave in 1981. Step 2 stir in baking soda until light and foamy. Break the brittle into small pieces to serve.
To a large microwave safe bowl at least 2 quarts because mixture bubbles up considerably add the sugar and corn syrup. Step 5 mix baking soda and vanilla extract into syrup until smooth and foam has dissipated. Then spread it over the brittle and sprinkle chopped peanuts over the top.
Remove bowl from microwave and stir the mixture. While the chocolate is still wet sprinkle the top with the flaked sea salt then let the chocolate set completely. Making peanut brittle in the microwave only takes at least 15 minutes.
Cook 3 minutes longer. Microwave uncovered on high for 4 minutes. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a 2 quart glass bowl and microwave on high 4 minutes.
Microwave for 30 60 seconds or until mixture turns a light amber color mixture will be very hot. Microwave safe bowl combine sugar and corn syrup. Microwave those together for 4 minutes on high.
