Naan Recipe Instant Yeast
In another medium sized bowl whisk together the warm water yogurt and olive oil.
Naan recipe instant yeast. Add warm water oil and yogurt to flour mixture. Naan is a leavened indian flatbread with soft spongy texture and usually oven baked tandoor. Sprinkle yeast over lukewarm water.
Add the yeast mixture yoghurt salt and oil knead the dough until the surface becomes smooth and shiny about 10 minutes. How to make naan. Knead for 5 minutes.
Beat 1 minute at medium speed. Switch to the dough hook and gradually mix in enough of the remaining flour to make a smooth dough. Whisk together the yogurt olive oil and warm water.
Blend at low speed until moistened. Place one round in cover and cook for 1 minute. If using instant yeast this step is unnecessary.
When you roll the dough don t worry about the shape but roll it evenly thin. Lightly flour your your hands and knead into a ball. Roll out each piece of dough in to a tear drop shape about 8 inches long and 1 4 inch thick.
Sprinkle sugar over top. The yeast should be activated when it becomes foamy about 10 minutes. Combine the plain flour yeast sugar mixture curds melted ghee and salt in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough lukewarm water if required.
