1 tsp baking soda. Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 4 hours. After beating in the dry ingredients stir up to one cup of pecans walnuts or almonds into the dough.
Remove from heat and let cool. Take one cookie and spread a 1 inch layer of date filling on top and place a second cookie on top. Tsp ground nutmeg.
Bake at 350 375 for 10 12 minutes. 10 minutes or until golden brown. Tsp ground cloves.
3 cups quick oats. 1 cup white sugar. Remove from oven and cool on wire cookie racks.
Bring date mixture to a boil and simmer for a minute. 1 cup packed brown sugar. Once cookie dough is chilled drop tablespoon sized balls onto parchment lined cookie sheet and lightly flatten with fork.
